Choose a short passage
Open John 1, Genesis 1, or Luke 2. Read a few verses in Latin first. Use the parallel English text to check the overall meaning.
Listen, then read again
Play the Latin audio and follow the highlighted words. Replay a short portion rather than trying to absorb an entire chapter at once. Read it aloud afterward, paying attention to the grouping of words as well as their pronunciation.
Look up the words that matter
Use Lexicon Sacrum for an unfamiliar form. Keep all the possible grammatical readings in mind and return to the sentence before choosing one. The dictionary guide explains how to use morphology and definitions together.
Prepare for offline reading
Vox lets you explicitly save chosen books for offline use. Complete the download while connected, then check your saved passage before relying on it away from a connection. Installation and offline saving are separate actions: installing the app does not mean every book has been downloaded.
